I’ve always been a huge fan of a good body scrub! I love how there are so many variations. One of my favorites is this DIY coffee body scrub! I’ve made a matcha green tea coconut body scrubย that has a sugar base that feels great on the skin, be sure to take a peek at the simple recipe. With the coffee body scrub I love the fact that you can customize the size of the coffee grounds with a coffee grinder. You can make the grounds more course or fine depending on your preference.

Incorporating a body scrub in to your beauty routine is a great way to exfoliate your skin. This will help eliminate dry, dull skin and reveal soft, smooth and moisturized skin. The exfoliant in this scrub helps provide easier absorption for the coconut oil which makes skin more moisturized. Coffee has tons of health benefits for your skin such as (Healthline):

  • cellulite reduction
  • anti-aging benefits
  • reduced inflammation
  • acne treatment

This body scrub is so easy to whip up! You can also use grounds that were used for your morning coffee. Keep in mind it has a shorter shelf life. If you go that route, you can refrigerate the scrub to preserve it for longer. Then when you bring it in to the shower, you can rub it in the palms of your hands to soften it before using it on your body.

One of my favorite body scrubs to make is this DIY coffee body scrub! I love the fact that you can customize the size of the coffee grounds with a coffee grinder. This body scrub smells amazing and it'll leave your skin feeling so soft! Find the recipe on jaimekrzos.com.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup coffee grounds
  • 1/2 cup coconut oil
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar

Directions:

  1. Mix all of the ingredients together in a bowl.
  2. Transfer to an airtight container.

Use:

  • While in the shower, scoop up a small handful of body scrub and gently rub it in circular motions over your skin. Be sure to use the scrub at the end of your shower. Once you’ve rubbed the scrub over your body, rinse it off until the coffee grounds have been removed. Hop out of the shower right after to ensure you’ve retained most of the coconut oil. This will moisturize your skin and leave it feeling silky smooth. I personally don’t use lotion after, but you could if you’d like.
